Coaches
Kyle Bogner - Owner and Head Coach
Kyle comes to COMO from Laramie, WY where he was Owner and Head Caoch of Wyoming Diving as well as the Head Diving Coach for the University of Wyoming.
In four years at Wyoming, Bogner coached three divers to five NCAA Championship appearances and earned Western Athletic Conference Diving Coach of the Year honors in2017 and 2018.
In his first year in Laramie, Bogner guided Kari Campbell to All-America honorable mention honors, as she became the first female diver in school history to claim the accolades. He also coached Karla Contreras to All-America honorable mention honors in 2017 and 2018.
Before his tenure at Wyoming, Bogner coached two seasons at New Mexico State and one as a graduate assistant at Northern Michigan as well as one year at Mile High Dive Club in Denver, CO.
A diver for Wyoming from 2008-11, Bogner won the 2008 Mountain West 1-meter title and was a five-time Mountain West Diver of the Week. He still holds the Cowboys’ 1-meter record (403.20).
Jackie Carney - Senior Coach
Jackie (Babich) Carney joined MDC in Fall 2015 after a hiatus from the sport. A former collegiate diver, she competed for St. Bonaventure University from 2002-2006. During Carney's collegiate career, she was a four-year letterwinner and finished top 15 in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship each season. During her time at Bona's, Carney assisted with coaching the Southern Tier Diving Club as well as summer camps with Penn State University.
Following the completion of her master's of science degree in sports administration from Marshall University, Carney continued coaching with Mustangs in the Sun Diving Club in Dallas, TX. She primarily coached introductory lessons and assisted with competitive team practices.
After moving to Columbia, Missouri, Jackie began working with divers under Missouri Diving Club. During her time with MDC, Jackie grew club membership to over 25 divers and coached a new-to-diving athlete to the 2017 Region 7 Girls 12-13 Platform Champion, a top-10 finish on all boards at 2017 Zone D, and a top-20 National qualifier for Girl 12-13 on 3m.
Jackie lives with her family in Columbia, MO and both work at the University of MIssouri.
